Dr. Maria-Eleni K. Agoraki is an Associate Professor at the Department of Accounting and Finance, University of the Peloponnese. She graduated from the Department of Accounting and Finance, Athens University of Economics and Business. She holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Athens University of Economics and Business and an MSc degree in Accounting and Finance from Manchester Business School, UK. Her research interests include various areas of finance and banking. She has published her work in peer-reviewed international journals such as the Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of International Money and Finance, Financial Markets, Institutions and Instruments, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, while she has presented her research work at high quality international conferences. She has served as member of scientific committees of various international conferences on finance and banking and she is the guest editor of special issues of Economic Modelling and Sustainability and associate editor of Open Economies Review. She is teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University of the Peloponnese, Athens University of Economics and Business., Hellenic Open University and Open University of Cyprus.
